MARK THIS DAY!
OH my veges! Finally, I did it! For sure, I’m not sure if I’m sure and I won’t assure! Anyway, at least I’ve tried though I guess I have messed up! Drop it. Move on. Accept whatever the outcome. I did my best and if it’s not good enough, well, try again.
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone..
Appreciation is such a good word to say however it’s overrated. Giving emphasis to its meaning give people the wrong understanding of what the essence of the word. It means showing gratitude, giving thanks or maybe recognition but can we define it in simple terms? In life, we have countless tribulations causing our mind to think of negative thoughts and it often circling around our head with no possible way to escape and be free. Let’s not focused on the two way process instance where a person appreciates another person for the good deeds or whatsoever because that’s given and we understand that. Begin with ourselves and by that we can understand the true meaning of life.
Happiness comes from within. Perhaps, it’s a state of mind. What I mean of appreciation is when we find happiness without giving any effort. I learned by experience. All of us do. Ups and downs, both make us strong and weak depending on how we approach our problems. Some people become happy by having what they wished for. Honestly, I can be so damn happy if I’ve got a new DSLR which I’m dying to have ever since. Designer clothes, bags, shoes, hi-tech gadgets, mouth-watering foods, brand new Car, etc are some of material things that I’m sure will make everyone happy like heaven. I can’t deny the fact that I’m stoked to have any of those things mentioned. However, we have different views and opinions with regards to material things.
The question is, with those things you have, can you be satisfied? Yes for some and No for people who aspire for better ones. I can’t blame them because that’s the source of their contentment in life. Will those make you truly happy? Yes, they’ll truly are! On the other hand, even you have every little thing in the world, there will be something missing.
True happiness comes from within , I repeat. Simple things in life like seeing how beautiful the sunset is, how the trees sway with the wind, how the clouds formed into unique shapes, how the baby in the mall stared at you, how good the movie that was, how you woke up in the morning in a peaceful and quiet environment, how your friend tap you in the back and say “you can do it”, how you listen to a music with brilliant message, how a stranger smiles at you, how the bus driver says “Thank you”, how your cuffs hurt so bad but you can still walk fine, how your family believes in your potential, how you had a power nap after a long tiring day, how the internet works so fast without lagging, how photos in front of you makes you giggle, how good the night is that you don’t want to sleep yet, how you’re so in the mood to share your thoughts and beliefs, how things seems impossible but you still thinks the bright side, how funny seeing the lights on in the toilet when no ones inside, how messy the area is but you still feel awesome, how you watch a movie but don’t know the story, how you predict tomorrow’s duty will be, how you run out of words to say but still typing and how you wish everyone thinks the same.
These are simple things you should be thankful for. I’m sure that they are costless. By doing such, you will appreciate the greatness of life even if you’re in pain, down, and sorrowful. Life is how we make it. You should not always suck into it without doing something to uplift your spirit. It’s all about how we act on a certain situation. If it’s bad, well that’s given. If you want it to get worst, well then do nothing. But if you soar to see the good side and think further why things happened not in accordance to what you expected to be. Probably, there’s a very good reason why things just happened. Think out of the box. But don’t stress yourself questioning why. Be thankful for the experience and move on. That’s life, perhaps there’s no other choice but to appreciate small things and always think that a lot of people experiencing worst problems than you do. Keep that in mind. Just a thought for the day. :)
